Amendments
1988—Pub. L. 100–418 substituted “National Institute of Standards and Technology” for “National Bureau of Standards”.
Effective Date
Section 5(c) of Pub. L. 99–73 provided that: “The amendments made by subsection (a) [amending section
278b of this title] (and the provisions of subsection (b) [enacting this section]) shall be effective October 1, 1984.”
